Research has shown that learning rates improves tremendously while taking random micro rests. During these rests, a replay of the study material is done, in your brain, at a staggering 20 times speed! Read more on this in our blog post.
Studying with random micro breaks had these benefits in a research setting:
Start the microbreaks timer, and at random intervals you will
be prompted to take a microbreak. Close your eyes, think of
nothing for a few seconds, and continue working or studying
after the beep.
Optionally, use the visual focus and attention exercises prior to your session.
To get in a deep learning state, focus on the cat for 15 seconds.
This exercise will help you become more alert, by stimulating an increase in adrenaline. Deep breathing has been shown to have a positive effect on attention.
